If you’ve lost a tooth through injury, decay or gum disease, a single dental implant is designed to look, feel and function like a natural tooth. Once treatment is complete, it should simply become part of everyday life. It’s a long-term way of replacing a missing tooth while protecting the healthy teeth around it.
Unlike a dental bridge, an implant doesn’t rely on the neighbouring teeth for support. Instead, a small titanium implant is placed into the jawbone, where it acts as an artificial tooth root. Once it’s healed, a custom-made crown is fitted on top to complete your smile. We’ll examine your mouth, talk through your options and help you decide whether implant treatment is the right choice for you.

Treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you should feel comfortable throughout the procedure.
Every patient is different. The overall treatment time depends on healing and whether any additional procedures are needed before the implant is restored with its final crown. We’ll provide a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.
